Changes and Happenings So Far in 2012

So once again it has been awhile. So updating 2012 so far I have to say the best thing that has happened is My precious grandson Knox made his appearance on March 16,2012. Yeah! He is a doll. I stayed there with them for 2 weeks and it was so worth it.

After being home for a couple of days Vegas called and flew me there to testify against the second man that had been involved in taking my purse on January 6th. I had already gone and testified against the first one. They both pleaded guilty. So here I am back and ready to once again tackle the old diet. YUCK! But I am going to do it. I am also going to start a separate diet blog. And I am going to try and do a craft one too. I trying to stay current in this computer world. lol

Well it has been awhile since I posted. I went to Vegas last week and returned on Tuesday. I am sooooooooooooo still tired. Vegas is so exhausting. I love it, but I do pay for it when I come home. I am very excited though because Lance, Lindsay and Mia will be here tomorrow to help me celebrate my 55th birthday this week end. My birthday is Monday so it will be so neat to have them here. It will also be my Mom's 80th birthday. So there will be lots of celebrating this week end. I always love spending time with Mia. She is growing so fast.

Strange Mother's Day. I have been sick all week end. I had a tooth pulled by an oral surgeon on Friday and then was put on some strong antibiodics that made me so sick and my stomach. Between having a tooth ache all week last week, having surgery and being sick at my stomach I have been kind of depressed today. I was supposed to go see Lance and Mia this week end but was unable to. I had made my Mom a gift, but was unable to even go see her today because I felt so bad. I made a Smile Box last year for Mother's Day and I want to repost it today. It makes me smile and I need some smilin right now.

Wow it has been a windy day here in West Texas. Winds gusting to over 50 mph and dirt blowing. Luckily no firest to report today.

I went to Midland today and bought my cigar box for the Secret Squirrel Cigar Box Swap. I bought one extra just in case I mess up the first one. Am still thinking about what I want to do with it. I have some pretty good ideas I think, Just need to start. I'm not really a pastel kind of girl. I'm a tropical beachy full of color type. Which is kind of weird since I live in West Texas where the neaqrest ocean is 8 hrs away. But my home is decorated tropical and my yard definately is.I think I'm going to try and put a little bit of that personality in mine. I am very very excited about this challenge.

On a completely different subject. Last night me and my husband put my new treadmill together. That was quite an accomplishment. Went back to WW (again) today. (scarry numbers) Anyway, I'll try and do better. The meeting was of all things on walking. too funny. So, I am empowered. Came home and walked the treadmill listening to my beach music. Gotta get ready for my beach vacation in July. Can't wait for that either

Ok, I have been very bad at this blogging, but I am determined to do better. I have now entered the world of Mini Albums. Having a baby girl grand daughter named Mia has definately made me want to get back into scrapbooking. I scrapbooked when my son was in High School, but had pretty much given in up and started quilting. Just got back into it and my how times have changed. You Tube, UStream, Mini Albums, Tags, Tim Holtz, Tattered Angels, Lindsay Stamp Gang, etc. etc. So much to digest. But I am having so much fun. I have been trying my hand at all of it for about 6 months now and finally felt a little bit more confident to try my hand at a swap. So I officially got into the swap called Secret Squirrel Cigar Box Swap. Wow lots of talented women. I hope I don't disappoint my partner.

When I got in I talked my husband (Glen) into taking me to Fredericksburg, Texas to one of my favorite scrap stores. I live in a small West Texas town. No Michaels, No Hobby Lobby, no nothing except WalMart. So I am pretty limited on supplies. Rely on internet shopping and shopping when I go out of town.

Anyway, I am ready to start trying to make some new friends who I can learn from and get to know. I love art and have always enjoyed working with fabrice and paper. I call myself a fabric engineer and a paper engineer. I also love to embroider with my sewing maching that embroiders also. I think I may try my hand at making lace on it.

I am so excited and am going to try my best not to disappoint my swap partner.

Need to rest now and get ready for work tomorrow. I am the co owner of a title company and my business is always a pressure cooker and my time after work in my studio is where I release all the tension.

Wow, went to WW tonight. That was very scarry. Waited in line 45 minutes to step on the scales and want to throw up. But at least it is a first step. Stayed OP today and even tracked everytthing today. Wasn't bad at all. Glen had stir fry for me and I have enough left over for several lunches. He even has a Pot Roast in the crock pot for tomorrow. He definately rocks.

Well after seeing this picture, I realized my weight gain was worse than I thought. We are now back from Las Vegas and I am ready to go back to WW tomorrow.

It's not goint to be an easy road, but I need to loose at lease 30 to 40 lbs. I'm not even going to weight. I hid my scales tonight and I am just going to weight at WW.

My other New Year's Resolution is to get my relationship back with God. I have been very lacking in this area. I listened to Beth Moore's Intro section on "Daniel" today. It really spoke to me. I want to do this bible study. I've started twice before, but I believe it is what God wants me to do. She suggested we give up something for the first half of the bible study. Now to figure out what to give up. I'm going to think on that. There are plenty of things I could give up. The world has given me many things I need to give up.

I have also started a new thing that I learned on Memories Suite about taking a picture once a day about a memory. Today I took a picture of the mess on the bed in our spare bedroom. It represents my life. My life feels like it is in disary and I need to get it together again. I'm tired of having one foot on the concrete ane one foot in the gutter.
